Since your pipes are within 1/4 inch of each other, just cut off the long ones so they are all at the same point before going into the collector. The were not built so the top pipes were longer than the lower to make them easier to install. The pipes move around after being used a while....you know ...

The thread size for the stock screw in steel tube with the aluminum ferrule is 12x1.5 mm (same as the lug bolts on the 1200 sedan). If your threads inthe carb top are messed up, the 12x1.5 helicoil works great to fix it.

Yes the 1.22 is the 3rd gear ratio. The .89 is the 4th gear ratio (the other legal 4th gear is a .82 ratio, but that one is not commonly used) And the date is when the trans was last done by Bob. I would think that the aftermarket 'heavy duty side covers' would NOT be legal for FV. They may not be of the same material (some are steel) and are not dimensionally identical. The 'Short box' has a 4.375 ratio ring & pinion (8 teeth on pinion, 35 teeth on ring gear). Short box has a higher numerical ratio (slower speed for a given engine rpm), thus a 'short' track transaxle. The 'Long box' has a 4.125 ratio ring & pinion (8 teeth on pinion, 33 teeth on ring gear)....
