Are they allowed in SOLO?

Re: Turning/cutting brakes
If you're talking about the lever that directs the brake pressure to one side or the other, the rule book doesn't say it's legal, so it's not legal.
Personally, I'm way to busy in the car to fool with an extra lever. I'm doing good to keep up with the steering wheel.

AFAIK, HAND BRAKES *ARE* allowed in Solo2. They come on most foreign sports cars as standard equipment. When I did AX (back in the dark ages) in D and C Stock my HB got used most anytime we had a really tight 180 with a reasonable straight on one, or both, ends. I'm not "UP" on the mod classes, so YMMV.

Yes...a hand brake that brakes 1 rear wheel at a time. I use to have one on a street legal dune buggy. I could corner faster than any road car I saw.
Course we had this last weekend...fast run into a 180 degree turn around. Bet I could have taken .5-1 second off that course with a hand brake.
