Sad news whenever a track closes. This one strikes a personal chord, because we raced there in the 1997 One Lap of America and they were still paving it when we arrived. Our makeshift circuit that day included the pit road, and I remember laughing about NASCAR speeding penalties as the cars whizzed by.....
