I was going thru a CFR calendar and I see there is a Track Day coming up soon at Sebring. I searched the website to find out what a track day was and did not find anything. Has anyone been to a track day in CFR? Thanks

A track day is sort of like a test and tune day - open lapping sessions, 20 minutes or so, alternating between various groups. You need to check with whoever is organizing the track day to see what sort of cars are allowed. Most track days do not allow open wheelers, unless they've got enough cars to run an open wheel group. Which doesn't happen often (ever) around here!

Other than that, there's usually a novice run group with instructors riding along, and intermediate/advanced groups. Cheap practice and track time usually, but normally not really meant for formula cars :(

That figures but I can understand why open-wheeled cars and sedans just don't play well together. I'll check with the SCCA. Thanks

You are right. They do not let open wheel cars play.....
