Help.....How do you transition from 6AN to the 1/4" hose? Thanks, Ed

Are you sure you have a 6AN. This is large for our fuel system. Pegasus has a 1/4" barb to 4AN or a 3/8" barb to 6AN. You could solder a sleeve on to make the 1/4" to 3/8".

My fuel cell has -6 fittings and that is what I am refering to. Others have told me to simply step down to a -4. I just wasn't sure -4 was big enough.

fuel line should be 5/16 and summit has a -6an to 5/16 barb bulkhead fitting that I use on my car works like a champ and nice and neat.

The fuel pump fittings are 6mm (close enough to 1/4") so we use a 1/4" hose to and from the pump. A AN6 female to AN4 male adapter on top of the fuel cell will do the trick, but you need to seal the adapter against the fuelcell with an Oring. From there you can use the hose end of your choice to connect to a hose and finish the system. I like to use a barbed fitting and Push-Lock hose. The push lock hose will easily fit onto a 1/4" barbed fuel filter, fuel pump, and the little 6mm steel tube that sticks out of the carb. You can use steel braided hose for a more stout system, but it is more expensive and plan on cutting up your finger tips. I linked to the parts below. I picked Pegasus for simplicty, many of the FV suppliers can get you these parts, including those sponsoring this board.

P.S. AN numbers refer to the Inner diameter of the hose in 1/16ths of an inch. E.G. AN4=1/4" AN6=3/8"
p.s.s. Make sure to have a fuel test port. The simplest way is to put a T in the line with a piece of hose going somewhere convient and clamp an unthreaded bolt in it. I got into trouble with MARRS about this even on my first time out.
