Andres Serrano update

If you know Andres Serrano, you may be interested in this quick update I just received from him. He used to race Vees in the states but has been back in Europe the last few years. I met Andres in '06 at a German Formula Vee race in the Czech Republic... BTW, he won that race too... Donald
As you do regionals you will surely run into my very good friend Tom Mayerhoffer, who
also runs a Vee. He is a great guy to get to know, so say hi! from me and
ask him to help you out as well (he, like me, has been around a few laps)
My racing last year pretty much sucked. Won the first one at Dijon from
pole and flag to flag and that was the extent of my success. The season
ended rather abruptly as I was testing a new motor (went through three last
season) at Brands Hatch when the steering column failed in a very fast right
hander (Clearways) and I speared into the wall bending my car pretty badly.
To boot, finally got the MINI going at the Nurburgring and I stuffed it
(gently, but nonetheless) into the tire wall at the end of the straight
after 3 and a half hours of a four hour race. Turned out I owned three hour
brake pads as when we tore it down the pistons from the callipers had gone
THROUGH the metal backing of the pads.....oh well.....
