link pin shims

Post by Dietmar »

Got tired of modifying link pins shims for use with offset bushings so I had a thousand made.
0.45 cents ea-
A bit less if ordering a complete set.

So as to not have to relieve the dogbone? If the dogbone's been relieved the original od is ok? Thanks

The answer to IF is YES, (usually).

Stock shims are larger .od than the head of the link pin( by about .035). So clearancing the carrier is SOMETIMES needed to clear the link pin. Can't tell you if the clearancing is enough to accept the stock shims.
Have never had to relieve ( clearance) the carrier when using modified shims.
