You have likely seen the shameless plugs I post here about my data acq classes (which start again on the 16th). But I wanted to share an email I got from someone in the last class.
It reminds me of the joke about the guy who buys a chain saw that comes with a guarantee "if it doesn’t cut twice as much wood as the saw he is using now, you get your money back." The guy buys the saw and a week later returns it to get his money back. The dealer says he would be glad to give him back his money he just wants to know what saw is out sawing his model. The guys says he is using a hand saw that was passed down from his father. The dealer in disbelief says "Oh there must be something wrong with the chainsaw we sent you." He looks at the chain it appears sharp, full of gas and everything seems fine. He pulls the cord to start the saw and it springs to life perfectly tuned and the guy says “Hey what's that noise and where is that smoke coming from?”
