head and neck opinions

Post by kidkoh »

ok so I am leaning towards the safety solutions hybrid pro rage but I would like to get some opinions first. I am driving a d-13 and I may be getting in a spo so I need something that will work in a lay down car and a tin top. Has anyone used a pro rage in a vee any opinion will be greatly welcome thanks

The safety solutions hybrid pro rage is great, they are now owned by Simpson.

Hans offers great front and back protection, but no additional side protection. The hybrid pro also offers good side protection and its adaptable to any seating. I had a Hans and couldn't wear it comfortably in a Vee. I would have had to buy another model for my other car so it was an easy decision to switch to the Hybrid. I changed some of padding in my D-13 seat but that's it.

The Simpson website does not specify what certifications the Safety Solutions Hybrid style restraint system has. Does anyone know if they are SFI and/or FIA certified?

"Device is designed to work with you, not against you!"

The Hybrid Pro Series is the new generation of minimalistic design head and neck restraint systems that offer great protection and unbeatable angular protection over similar devices. At less than 7 inches it is one of the smallest devices ever made and one of the few devices on the market that doesn't require seat modifications. With more and more classes requiring the use of SFI 38.1 approved head and neck restraints the Hybrid Pro Series was designed with two key factors in mind; safety and comfort. Sliding tether style devices allow a fuller range of motion as the tether is not fixed to the device. Both systems are available with a fixed or sliding tether at no additional charge.
