1980's vee with NZ history.
Frame has chromed four-bar rear suspension with Z-bar; inverted steering box; modified beam; left hand shift.
Wedge shape aluminium body. Fiberglass seat.
Car has been sold. Thanks to Bob V. and Bill B. and this Interchange.

Gary was kind enough to send me photos and I checked it out with one of my Kiwi mates in NZ.
Looks like the car was built/raced in New Zealand in the mid to late 70's by a bloke named Mike Richards. Mike was an officer in the NZ Navy and was stationed in the US in the early 80's. Good chance that was when the car was brought to the US.
Hope this info helps to get the car to a new owner and back on the race track.

Thanks for the detective work, Bill. I was not aware of the driver Mike Richards. The car has spent time in the Annapolis, MD area. (NAVY connection)
There was a tech sticker from BAY PARK RACEWAY dated April 12, 1990; so it was in NZ until then.
