A race entry costs C$325 for weekend. For this you generally get 3 - 20min races + practice, qualifying and a 10min Sunday morning warm up.brian wrote:Greg, you didn't answer the question about entry fees. How much does it cost to buy into the F1200 series? School, entry fees and required gear.
The race season consists of 6 race weekends (18 races). 4 weekends at Mosport and one at Shannonville and Calabogie. (There is too much Mosport for my liking).
Membership of the F1200 Association is C$150 + BARC membership C$40.
A CASC regional licence costs C$150.
There is no special gear required except arm restraints are not mandatory in Canada.
F1200 regs mirror SCCA FV regs except metric units used.
A control Kumho Tire is used on a 356mm (14") rim.
24 drivers entered the 2009 F1200 championship, although they did not all enter every race. The full championship standings and race results are shown in the following link.
