Out of curiousity, what would need to be done to waive points in a given race? Would you still be able to keep your finishing position but allow those behind you to accrue the points they would have gotten assuming you didn't keep your finishing position?

Nope. You can forfeit and the guy behind gets 1st place points AND the finishing position. You get nothing.
But no way to get your win and give someone else the points. (If I understand you correctly.)

To be more specific - you DO get "credit" for running the race, but the waiver form gives away all points/trophy. Not sure what you want to "keep" from that, but your race will count for anything else except points (like license requirements).

I doubt it - you generally get the form at the event. Go to the stewards and ask. You have to sign it in the presence of a steward anyway.
