Tire rejuvinator

Post by bobc »

What luck has anyone had using some of the tire rejuvinators?

Well, to put it succinctly, NONE.

We have tried many of them and in my opinion, they might soften the top tread of the tire and it's all gone by
the second lap.

And then the tire might be worse than it was.

We even tried a small vat and rotating the tire and giving each section 20 min of soak, nothing, nada.

For autocross, they make a 2 year old tire perform like a 1 year old tire--for 2 or 3 runs.

For road racing on a budget, you are better off buying used tires.
