Ride Height Adjusters

Post by jpetillo »

Are there any other type of ride height adjusters other than the these two?

Avis

The top one is big and difficult to fit into my car due to location of the master cylinders and steering box, etc. The second one is nice and small, but I'm not wild about it.

Thanks, John

John,

I have put in the first one one my top tube. You can put your springs in either the top or bottom tube. I have figured out a way to get rid of the adjusting set nut and can get a bit more clearance for the steering box if it is below and bumps up on the adjuster.

I will drill and tap the inside nut welded into the box and put an allen set screw through it. Also I have shortened the large allen set screw, using a grinding wheel, to get more clearance. I can send a picture if you need it.

Jim,

We came to the same conclusion - to put it on the top. I'll send you a PM to send a picture...

Thanks,

Don't forget you can affect the front ride height by adjusting the angle of the beam (caster).
