The Beach 5b was the model that Gene Beach sold to Germany along with some domestically. Chassis number 67 was built in 1965 in Kirkwood, Missouri by Herb Wahlmann and Lou Astroth. The car went to several driver schools and was driven in the 1966 Trans-Am support race at Mid-America Raceways by Bob Spooner where it finished third. After that it was autocrossed by Herb and a friend until 1977. In 2000 it was bought by me and returned to the track with VSCDA and CVAR with the original motor. Later a dual relief full-flow motor was built. It currently has an Elgin spec cam along with Dietmar heads, carb and intake, The short box has a 1:26 third gear. The exhaust system is a four into one. The car has the original gauges, body, and upholstery. The rear shocks are now Carrerras. It has a fuel cell. Tires and belts need to be replaced.

The car has always been stored in a garage. Also included are:
Original fuel tank, rear shocks, original roll bar with tech stickers, 4 pipe exhaust, 5x7 photo of the car as-built with Herb standing along side,
Beach t-shirts, patches, original fabrication and assembly drawings, and part of the original shipping crate with Gene's address.
Mechanical spares include transmission, engine case, square boss heads, extra set of slotted wheels, and other misc. maintenance parts.
$6500 or best offer. Car is in the Kansas City area. International shipment is available.
