1972 Zink Z4/Z5

Post by 1969zeitler »

I was going to autocross this car but this is too nice and should be put back on the track in Vintage. This is JR Russell's (of Roxannes Headers) 72 Zink. He drove this car for many years in the Central Florida Region SCCA. He will give me a lot of paperwork for the car next month, even the logbook if he can find it. It is set up for autocross now but will easily convert back to FV or Vintage. Only things changed are the tires and fuel cell. Car has a LYBARGER LONG box, adjustable rear coil-overs, pro front shocks, ATL Aluminum can but has a 1 gallon cell for autocross. It has brand new brakes including WILWOOD master cylinders, hard lines, wheel cylinders, shoes and new drums. It had a 1915 Autocross motor in it when I bought it but that has been sold. This is a running (less motor) , driving, shifting, stopping car. Just drop an engine in it and add the safety equipment your organization needs. It will come with goodyear slicks, not the autocross tires that are in the photo. This car needs to be put back on the track! This would make a nice winter project and be running Vintage in the Spring. It would also be a great car to take the 50th FV Anniversary!

$2500 without motor or $2700 with motor. The motor is a 1965 engine with cam bearings and the "good" heads.

I always consider offers. I just want to see this back on the track. Not much work to do to get it there.
