Info on the Comet or Haley Comet FV

Post by ajax »

I'm looking for info on this vee for the book being put together for the 50th. The Comet had a recent owner who was into Solo Vee and was on this site in the last few years. He had done extensive updating for solo events and even had a web site for the Comet, with lots of historical info on it, but site seems to be gone now? Anyone know who has the vee now and how to contact either him or the previous owner? The Haley Comet FV was designed and built by Jules Haley out of Pittsburgh, PA area with an early version of zero roll in 1974 -75 range, I was the 2nd owner in 1978.

Thank you,
Rickydel

This info is listed on the FV registry of Formulavee.org:
NEDIV Regional ActiveRacer 2001 Comet Solo Vee

Maybe Stevan Davis can put a name to the listing.

Roger Bailey HAD a Comet way back when, and he is listed as living in Spring, TX and racing with CVAR. Not sure if he still has the Comet or not.
Dan Remmers has a solo Comet vee (or at least did). He's from Virginia.

I have emails and phones for both, but won't post them here. You can send me an email and I'll send directly to you. Steve at WedgeRacing dot com.
