Solo Vee for sale

Post by Lynn »

A friend sent me this link: http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/1467460483.html This is Chuck Buysee's former car. If I were to buy this car, I would own three of the four highest finishing Solo Vees at the 2003 Nationals. And I tried to buy the other one, but Charles Haynes beat me to it.

Hmmm, talk to me, have to get out of the GT (Grey Turd, the local nick name), serious joint problems cause me to look for another car. The mentioned car is available to the right person, many updates since I purchased it. No rush, I'll keep it for my kids/grandkids before I give it away...many upgrades since I bought it. 1972 Lynx, complete teardown, repair, repaint of the zero roll chassis/frame in 2007. Refreshed engine, 1600 w/40 IDF, 83 hp@5500 rpm at the wheels, 81-84 lbs of tqe from 2500 - 5500,, 6000 rpm rev limit (I'm very conservative, built for 6800 rpm), rebuilt/re-geared transaxle, 1.48 3rd, 1.04 4th, 2 sets of spun steel wheels (13/7 - 13/9 and 13/8 - 13/10), new spring pack, new mandrel bent exhaust header, rebuilt carb, totally rewired, new A/N fittings for the full flow oil system, digital pertronix rev limiter and pertronix drop in electronic ignition, new bosch blue coil, new dry cell Panasonic battery, GCR legal electrical cutoff, cam lock 5 point harness, etc...1040 Lbs with 180 Lb driver and steel wheels. This is my baby, only for sale to the right person, new owner is more important than selling price.
