Rear Brake Drums and Parts

Post by problemchild »

I have a pair of rear brake assemblies from my FST car as run for 3 1/2 years. My competitor's paranoia has brought a rule change so I am changing to discs. From a 73 beetle, the backing plates are excellent, almost new wheel cylinders, and excellent hardware. The brake shoes have negligible wear. The German VW drums have been shortened on the outboard end so that they fit on short FV axles. The drums are 4 X 130mm bolt circle with a 2nd bolt circle drilled at 4 X 4" (7/16-20). There is lots of meat left for a few more bolt circles :)
There is nothing trick about these drums other than they make an economical hub to easily mount wheels with common bolt patterns.
$75 plus shipping.
For $15 more, I'll throw in a new spare bare backing plate and new set of shoes.
