Carb setup on 1915?

Post by 77fmod »

Anyone got any baseline suggestions for the jetting both air and fuel, the emulsion tube, and venturis for a 44IDF on a 1915?

Thanks,

First, get on your knees.
Second, clasp your hands
Third, Pray like your life depended on it!!!

Just kidding, of course. Each car is different. What mine and Vern's use are so totally different, it makes you wonder about how the motors were built.

According to Tomlinson's, he says 34mm venturis, 1.65 mains, 1.75 air, f11 emulsion tubes, and 60 idles.

A good rule of thumb is whatever worked for your 1600, let it breathe a little more.

Hmmm, I've got a brand new in the box 44 IDF, a used 44 IDF from the mythical 128 hp 1600, and the 48 IDF from Drew's engine. And the engine builder says. . . .
