Hoosier Tire Pressures

Post by bug1960 »

I purchased a solo vee last year and ran a few events with it but for the life of me I can not remember what tire pressures I was running. For those that are running the hoosiers what pressures are you running front and rear.

Thanks

Try 12 in the fronts and 14 in the rears. Get a good probe type pyrometer and a really good 0-30psi guage and adjust to your car and driving style.

I have the 20.5x7x13 in front (a bit narrower than most solo vees) and the standard 20x9x13 in the rear. I start off with 15 front and 14 rear, then lower right after each run depending on temperature, sidewall rollover, and if it's understeering or oversteering. The rear tires also have a slow leak, so I have to factor that in.

It ends up around 13.5 front and 12.5 rear by the 4th run.
