My new/old 1969 Zeitler FV

Post by 1969zeitler »

I'm a newbee and just wanted to hi to everyone. I just bought a 69 Zeitler basket-case. I have it's history back to the early 70's/ It has run at Daytona, Sebring, VIR, Summit Point and a few other NE tracks. Most of it's life it was in the Washington DC/VA/NC regions and won a few Regionals and entered a few Nationals. I am the 5th owner. It is all apart and most of the items are in boxes but it is mostly all there. I found it in Atlanta and we loaded the whole car into the back of my old Suburban. My plan is to put it back to original but might autocross it for a while to get the bugs out. Here are a few photos.[ external image ]

Yep... Sure looks a lot like mine! I will keep an eye on your progress. All I have done is managed to get most of it out of the back of my Suburban. I still don't have a place in my garage yet. I have to sell my 1956 Belair Beauville wagon to make room. In the meantime... the frame will go to the back porch until my wife gets tired of looking at it! I have started a website about Zeitlers and will put more photos up as the work progresses. It is:

Are you going to powedercoat your frame?

Thanks for the link and good luck with the resto.
