Shirley Maclanes new home

Post by shirleymac »

I purchased Shirley Maclane last year and have been working on getting her ready for this year. Heres a couple of photos of the new paint and number.

Congrats - but I can GUARANTEE YOU that T&S will NOT like that number against those colors. You need to do a bit of 'consistent color contrast' for your number (try working T&S as a taper some weekend! Try to read that number as it goes by at 100 MPH and 300 yards distance ... (and you must be at least 50 years old ...) :-) ).

I knew as soon as I put the number on the side of the car it would not work. I'm going to try keeping the white and add a thick black outline should look like this picture. Making the change will be easy, it helps having a brother with a sign making business.

I had the same problem. The numbers looked great on the dining room table, but when out in the sun/daylight it was another matter. Yes, adding the thin strip makes all the difference. Looks great!
