March Lion Advanced Driving Clinic

Post by Terry Hanushek »

The South Jersey Region SCCA, proudly presents, The March Lion Advanced Driving Clinic, conducted by the New Jersey Drivers Academy. This event will be held on the Lightning Course at New Jersey Motorsports Park located in Millville, New Jersey. Save the date, March 21-22, 2015.

Are you a currently licensed driver and looking to better your lap times for the upcoming season? Come join us for our Advanced Driving Clinic. Drivers who participated last year reported “Improvements in lap times of Seconds per Lap”. Many Club racers, after acquiring their license, spend thousands of dollars on their cars and equipment. One area we are all guilty of not spending our race dollars on is the "Loose Nut behind the Wheel”. The New Jersey Drivers Academy will provide advanced instruction on, race craft, car preparation, driving techniques, and proper race line. End the frustration. Receive instruction from Championship level drivers. Break through the "Wall".

Did you work on the car over the winter? I know that’s a STUPID question! Come on down to Millville and take part in the Lightning Test Day. Another service being offered during the weekend will be the availability to have your Annual Tech done by the World Famous “Men in Black” tech team. So come on down to Millville, shake off the winter “RUST”, and join South Jersey Region in getting the 2015 season off to a GREAT start!!

Watch this space. The entry package will be posted on the DLB online registration system soon. Registration will open on February 6th 2015

SCCA has a long tradition of holding excellent drivers schools to prepare drivers for their initial competition. However, once a driver obtains a license he has been pretty much on his own to develop his skills and become a better competitor. Now the New Jersey Drivers Academy is offering an alternative - driver coaching for licensed drivers from a cadre of championship and race winning drivers.

Many drivers spend untold hours improving their cars but rarely do anything to improve themselves. Now there is an opportunity available to Club Racing drivers for coaching on driving techniques, car preparation and race craft. The Advanced Driving Clinic at NJMP will consist of over three hours of track time and separate debrief sessions during the two day clinic. Students at the last year's Clinic reported considerable improvement in their lap times during the weekend - are you interested in improving your personal skills?

Hope to see ya at the March Lion Advanced Driving Clinic
