To all Formula Vee Challenge Cup competitors and supporters:
It appears highly likely that for the 2015 season, the Formula Vee Challenge Cup Series is going to be replaced by a new “Can-Am” Vee series with its own new management, regulations and point setup.
Unfortunately, because of its entirely different makeup and the different point structure that is planned to be put in place for this proposed series, points accumulated by F-Vee Challenge Cup competitors at the Sunday race at the “Last Chance” event at Watkins Glen will not count towards this new series’ 2015 championship. I hope that anyone affected by this development will understand the circumstances that dictate this change.
This new series is grass-roots based and those involved in the development of it are all unpaid volunteers whose primary goal is to move Formula Vee racing forward in the Mid-Atlantic region. I fully support their efforts and I hope that all of you will join me in contributing to making this new series a great success.
