A total of eight (9) points counting races (The Sun., Oct 5th races at the Glen Last Chance event count towards the 2015 season).

ELIGIBILITY

To receive points, all entrants are required to have two 2014 series logo stickers on their cars. These will be available at no cost at each event.
TIRES
1). Any use of new tires for Series qualifying or for a Series race will make that competitor ineligible for points for that day’s race.
(To keep the cost of competing down and encourage participation, we are asking all entrants to honor the spirit of this rule. Please don’t scrub in a new set of tires and show up to compete. We know it’s kind of a fine line, but please bring tires that have at least a couple of race weekends on them.
Also, if any competitor is planning on running stickers it would be greatly appreciated if that person or someone from their team would contact one of the series organizers during that particular race weekend and notify them of their usage so the series points-keeper can make adjustments to the scoring).

2).Any competitor who chooses to run the Canadian F-1200 tire/wheel spec combination will have any finishing position points multiplied by 50%.

POINTS
The points’ structure is taken directly from Formula One:
1st: 25 2nd:18 3rd:15 4th:12 5th:10, 6th: 8 7th: 6, 8th: 4 9th: 2 10th: 1.
One (1) point will be awarded for each pole position and one (1) point will be awarded for the fastest race lap of each race.
AWARDS
a).The top five points gathering drivers will be awarded individual Formula Vee Challenge Cup Series loving cup trophies for first through fifth positions at the end of the 2014 season.
b.) To be eligible for an overall Challenge Cup trophy a competitor must compete in at least three of the five series race weekends and display the two Challenge Cup stickers on his or her car.
c.) The awards ceremony will take place during the final race weekend of the series – the Last Chance at the Glen. It will be held 6 PM Saturday evening, Oct. 4th at The Seneca Lodge in Watkins Glen. Trophies can be mailed if unavailable for the awards ceremony, but these will be shipped at the recipients expense. All trophies must be picked up or mailed before Oct. 30, 2014.
d.) The Sunday, Oct. 5th race at Watkins Glen will count towards each competitor’s 2015 season points total.
