1st Waterford Hills Race-May 7-8

Post by CSatterley »

Looks like we may actually hit double digits for the first Waterford Hills race.
Slated to be there are,
Dave Satterley
Dave Satterley Jr
Chris Satterley
Brandon Abbott
Andrew Abbott
Taylor Mccormick
Chuck Mccormick
Sean Mccormick
Stu Delaney
Bill Wise
I don't think anyone can say Formula Vee is a Family Sport. : )
5 guys who were at the runoffs last year. Going to be a good turnout and should be a good race if anyone else is interested.

That's great.
I spend most Waterford Hills race weekends with our parts trailer in their paddock, and with a good view of the track I like nothing better than some good open wheel races to keep me entertained. Waterford is a really good track to race F/Vee at, so if you haven't been there in a while, the first weekend in May would be a good time to make it back. If you've never been there, it would be a good time to start. And I know all of the teams listed can fill you in on anything you might need to know.
To Rolling Stone, I actually had tickets to Woodstock!

Very Cool!
And yes I'm old, but not quite the really part, yet.
If I remember correctly, the Who's first American gig was at a local High School here, in SE Michigan back when I was a kid.

I'm assuming these races are open to anyone with a valid SCCA license? Not listed on the SCCA calender that I can find. What is the sanctioning body? I am hoping to make the regional at Grattan 7/23-24 and the race at Waterford the previous weekend might be a good fit. Any details would be appreciated.

At Waterford Hills you can use your SCCA and probably others, license.
All vehicles at Waterford Hills must have a muffler.

here is a link to entry info, the cost is 205.00 for non Whrri members and use of your SCCA liscense is fine. 1 Qualifying and 3 races, practice is $80 for the day on Friday (4 sessions).
You do need to use a muffler (like a supertrapp on the end of the collector) Someone may lend you a collector with a muffler if you are just going to do one race there. Vees do not typically blow over sound, but it is in the rule book to have a commercially available muffler.
