NHMS National

Post by wroché29 »

Soggy, soggy.
1st session was "damp" on slicks. Most drivers chose to spin at least once. Dean tested the safer barrier in NASCAR tm 1, bent some parts, but otherwise OK and out again for the second session. In that session everyone opted for rains as it was much wetter.

The first session order was
Kittel 1:25.9
Roger 1:26.5
Remmers 1:27.7
Russel Fredericks 1:28.3, Curtis, Scaler, Womer, Roche, Rader, Dan Grace Sr, VanDe Car - no show.

The annual cinqo de mayo dinner was fantastic! Last night's seafood dinner was also excellent. Thanks to Sully, our waiter, and Kelly Lubash for the bottle of wine.

Sunday "dawned" to another cold, rainey day. It appears to be the theme for the weekend.

Roger gets another one!
Sunday was, as promissed by the weather "guessers", wet.

The track felt particularily slimey to all I talked to after the race.

Results:
Roger 1:33.9
Rader 1:32.1 - nice job Dale
Womer (fastest lap) 1:31.5
Then; Curtis, Kittel, Grimes, Grace Sr., Fredericks, Roché, and Remmers slid off & stuck at lap 12 to round-out the field.

Wishing all a dry & warm summer!
