1975 D13 Caldwell. Rear wish bone lower suspension arms keep cracking. Have installed a support arm across the bend but tubing continues to crack on back side of cross piece. Is there a problem I am not seeing ?
Maybe someone has a solution and a photo of what works.

I assume this is a dual shock set up- not the later mono shock.
Could you send me a picture of exactly what you are referring to? I believe I know, but want to be sure.
Also, send me a pic of the complete suspension as is (if the car is complete right now).
The "extra" cross link has to provide an inward pull on the uprights. If this is not done correctly, it will put extra load on the uprights.
