Dry sumps

Post by tiagosantos »

This place has been really quiet lately..

I say let's bring on the dry sumps! :P

No really, it seems odd that the "seas" are this calm right now. With the 50th approaching, I'd expect some buzz and excitement building up. Not so much the rules disputes and the fights over allowing technology from the 70's into our cars, but even that would be better than this deafening silence.

Dry sump for FV:
Great idea, would help FV lower end bearings last WAY longer. The common system used in that other VW AC class has been around for 40+ years, bolts in and would cost less that $500 for DIY types.

Only one catch, it will NEVER happen in FV. I'll repeat, It will NEVER happen in FV.

Please prove me wrong, FV could benifit from improved lower end longevity.

All things quiet on this forum:
Yes, many reasons. One reason could be more FV activity (active posts and veiws) over at Apex. I'm sure there are more, this forum has slowly become very quiet over the past couple years.

Which is too bad, since for us folks new to Vees, this forum is a treasure-trove of useful information.
