Has anyone ever experienced an oil leak from the distributor shaft due to the rubber seal?I have an oil leak and I CANNOT find where it is coming from,it seems to be the distributor area,I only get the leak when putting the engine under load around a track, running it in the garage even at high revs doesnt show anything.I replaced the oil pressure sender unit fitting etc,and thought I had it fixed.I took the car to local speedway for a few hard laps and the oil is there again sitting on the top of the engine by the distributor shaft area, fittings all seem OK...its a puzzle,Man!!that synthetic oil goes everywhere like water

Have you double checked your oil cooler (if its in the "stock" location)? I had a similar leak last year and thats where it ended up being..

Yes - I have had my distributor leak. I confirmed it by wrapping the shaft of the dist with paper towels and securing them with a zip tie. After the next session, the paper towel was wet, but otherwise the case was dry.
