A race entry costs C$325 for weekend. For this you generally get 3 - 20min races + practice, qualifying and a 10min Sunday morning warm up.

The race season consists of 6 race weekends (18 races). 4 weekends at Mosport and one at Shannonville and Calabogie. (There is too much Mosport for my liking).

Membership of the F1200 Association is C$150 + BARC membership C$40.
A CASC regional licence costs C$150.

There is no special gear required except arm restraints are not mandatory in Canada.

F1200 regs mirror SCCA FV regs except metric units used.

A control Kumho Tire is used on a 356mm (14") rim.

24 drivers entered the 2009 F1200 championship, although they did not all enter every race. The full championship standings and race results are shown in the following link.

I hope that answers your questions

I agree with Bruce. Lert's see how the 2010 rules work before we go down the spec manifold path. This whole thing has been blown out of proportion let's sit back and take a breath.

Don't you mean 2011?

I understand that the revisions done after the Runoffs were to be put in place for 2010.

Brian;

I wasn't at the meeting but have had some conversations with some of those that were there...I'm not aware of any changes to the FV intake manifold rules for 2010 since the 1.050 dimension at the cylinder head flange that was inacted earlier this year. Any further changes in the rules need to go out for member input and will be in play for 2011.

I want to second what SteveO just said.

What I understood Fred to say and Dave Gomberg to agree with at the meeting was that in general, the rules for 2010 will be the rules from 2009. It was too late to make any changes for 2010. This was said specifically during the discussion on manifold rules but was said to apply to everything we would be discussing at that meeting.

I will add a post under the minutes as well to clarify this.

I thought the manifold draft that was circulated among the engine builders after the Runoffs was in a hurry to finish the language to be able to make a 2010 cutoff. The engine builders survyed should jump in here if I'm missing something. If that's not the case, it's possible that manifolds made in 2010 could be considered illegal in 2011. Either we stop writing manifold rules or we'll be chasing our tails. As I said before, this whole thing has gotten out of hand.
