Wanted: Small Steering Wheel

Post by problemchild »

Looking for a little steering wheel.

I've seen a little RaceTech on Vortechs.

Don't know what size it is but the smallest I see on sites like Pegasus is 240 mm and I think it is smaller. Whose got one for sale? Anybody know the actual size or part # ?

Thanks!

the one that came with my car is about 5" it is really small, has a real deep dish to it too. I could not steer the car with that small wheel( I drive one handed due to stroke) I'll get photos of it, would sell it.

I'm pretty sure those Vortech use smaller wheels than 240mm. Where do they get them?

Thor ..... does it have welded chain for spokes?

My wheel is on a Vortech. :-) 240mm

Photo copy of "parts list" provided from Rod Stout says: "9 1/2 flat bottom suede steering wheel - black Momo, RaceTech or Spa"

That's 240mm.

5 inches has to be an exageration. From the outer edge to the outer edge?

If the wheel material is about an inch thick, and the quick release is 2 inches across, that would give you a half inch on each side of the wheel to slip your fingers through. I don't think you'll find a production wheel smaller than about 9 inches. Maybe a home-made one.

Thanks Dan.

They're not making those any more.

I do have a lead on other fabricated little wheels. Thanks everybody.

PS .... If they cost $180 .... I'll be sticking with the ugly old wheel I transfer to any car I drive. :)
