I have noticed the absence of Mike V.
Any news?

I notice that, like you, he is working FC. Might still be driving the V as well.

Good Luck to Him.
The FC crowd is very similar to the FV group.

I'm still here!

After eating, breathing, sleeping, and sometimes even bleeding FV's for the past 15 years or so, I was getting burnt out the last season or two. Before Sonoma last year I had already made up my mind that I was going to take some time off, take a break and maybe catch up on some of the other aspects of life I've passed up over the years. But it hit me part way through the winter that it wasn't racing I needed a break from, I just needed some new challenges and new ideas to think about to keep me excited about going to the track again. So I bought a FC. The car has turned out to be a bit of a mess that will take some time to sort out, but we'll get there.

I'm not walking away from FV. I will be back in a Vee again soon, although I don't know with what effort level. Right now I just needed a change of pace for a bit and some new challenges, which the FC is definitely providing.

I will say that after working on the FC for a while now, I have a greater appreciation for the simplicity of the FV.
