Another strange VEE frame design
Does anyone recognize this VEE. It is really well built but has a very strange engine/transaxle mount. The engine is hard mounted at the lower front mount and the transaxle is mounted only at the top with no frame underneath. The steering box is also strange and the front beam mounts between 2 frame...

Re: ZINK saddle tanks and battery box
Neil,
I'll take the battery box and the bullet mirrors! Should have asked about the box when you were in FL last week!

Re: Bare transaxle case
If you flip it flywheel side down on the floor, you could build a nice lamp for the living room. Give it to your wife for an anniversary gift. I am sure it will be one she will never forget (neither will you!!!)

Great photos. Thanks for posting. It looks like one of the V's is running dual webers. I thought you could only run one?

Re: Thank You
Got a chance to meet a fellow board member and great vee guy today. Richard (RFickes)has built a great solo vee and is very proud of it (I would be too). A lot of time went into building it and it shows. Glad I was there to capture it on camera and video. He and his VEE did very well for the first t...

No problem. I should have made it clear in my first message. I have been getting a lot of PM's with questions. I think this will clear it up.

Re: Starting a new thread about the DVD and YOUtube
My Mistake. I spelled out what I was looking for in one of the other threads and did not copy it over to this new one. After more than 10 years of film making, one fact is true... You can NEVER have enough footage. I would rather go thru 4 hours of video and get 4 minutes of excellent quality film. ...

Tubes or tubeless?
My set of rain tires has tubes in them but my slicks do not. Do you need them or just an extra weight? I know it depends on whether your wheels can seal well but if they don't, do you add tubes or find new wheels?

Re: What kinda vee is this ???? HELP....
That worked. That looks just like my Zink frame except mine also has a bar that comes down the back hoop and bolts to the transaxle. It holds up that GINORMOUS rear hump-back body. I think thats the Speedway or Daytona body. Thanks for the photo.

Re: Need opinion on car to use for drivers school
Once you get the 2 races in and you have your regional license, is there any requirement, other than the medical, to run a certain amount of SCCA Races? Does racing with other groups like Vintage groups count in any way toward a SCCA requirement?

At least I have abunch of options at this point and I have some time to decide which way to go. I really appreciate all the great advice especially from those who have been in my shoe...
