Re: Runoffs race link that will work for Mac
Quinn, Check in the FORUMS section (Technical) of the SpeedCastTV site. There are several posts related to operation on Macs and Linix boxes. I think ONE guy got it to work and told how he did it. Where did you hear that the FV would be available tomorrow? I see NOTHING (Runoffs) new since about la...

Runoffs race link that will work for Mac
Tomorrow Speedcast will post the Runoffs race. IF anyone is able to get it to work on a Mac, please post how you did it. I would like to be able to watch it. Thanks!

Re: So, who was the yellow car?
Steven is right about the order of cars you see in his video. Because I did file a protest against Ron because I was a little pissed off after the race, the stewards has a copy of the internet feed on a DVD and did show me that, and they decided that they would consider it a RACING incedent and I h...

Re: So, who was the yellow car?
Yellow car at that point gives you either Hearn or Whitston. Maybe we can get one of them to confirm? If this is America, then someone HAS to be the blame. Brian Ill admit I was pissed when it happened. I thought I was going to make it through when a car nailed my left front. But again, Im not look...

Re: So, who was the yellow car?
Quinn, I am the originator of the video - I sent it only to the FOUR people in that line (originally). They are left to right Charlie Hearn, Ron Whitston, Ed Womer, Donnie Isley. Don't know who sent it to you. From what I saw live, and what I've seen on MANY replays of the video, there is no "...

So, who was the yellow car?
I received this in an email. Went to RA from the west coast and got taken out at the start due to this. Looks like 3 cars trying to go in a spot with enough room for 2.5. I know its a racing accident, but its a long way to go to not make it to turn 1. http://wedgeracing.com/video/Runoffs%2009%20Star...

Re: Formula Vee Meeting during the Runoffs
So what was discussed, and how did the meeting go? Where is the report for those of us who could not attend? Were the potential, regional and national racers that were not able to attend represented well or at all? Was anything solved? Were parts shortages discussed? What became of the manifold iss...

Re: Don't Drive Like My Brother
Y'know, it seems there is just no limit to the ways F1 (Bernie and Max) can find to alienate, aggravate, get further from touch with, disappoint, astonish, bewilder, (OK, I'll quit but could go on for a long time) their fan base. I guess the concept of "fair use" for the purposes of analy...

Re: FV Future
I was going to stay out of this thread, but there are some valid points regarding the aging out of the class. When I was 8 my dad started racing FV. I have grown up around it and started racing FV when I was 18. When I started at 18 I was the youngest guy on the track. Guess what? Now that I am 35 I...

Anyone flying out of Milwaukie after the Runoffs?
I want to book my flight but may be in need of a ride to the airport. Anyone leaving the track after the race that could give me a lift to the airport?

Re: Cool iPhone app
The accelerometers are built in to the iPhone case, so you definitely DO NOT want to attach it to the steering wheel, as you will get garbage data for the lateral accelerations! The dash would be the best place to mount it for visibility, and velcro is probably the best method because it helps to d...

It makes me want to switch carriers and get an iphone. Keep us posted on the functionality of this application. For 12 bucks it seems like a no brainer.

No need for velcro. I saw a $29 metal iPhone case. I figure you find a way to connect that case to the steering wheel and you are golden.

Re: HANS vs. DEFENDER
On the contrary. Though, if I promoted my company on the lives saved and the injury-saving capabilities of my product, I would be hypocritical to withhold the basic idea or concept solely for profit, if more lives could be saved by not allowing those theories to be relegated only to be used on my o...

Re: HANS vs. DEFENDER
It's all about "hard earned rights" and not about saving lives, I guess. Unfortunate that lawsuits are so much a part of our society. So if you were in the business or creating products that "save lives" and you spent considerable time, effort and money developing a life saving ...

I have been thinking about picking up an iPhone. Now that I have seen this $12 application, I am going to do it. Just thought you might be itnerested in the event you own an iPhone or have been thinking about picking one up. It is a gps lap timer and data acquisition tool. Not as extensive as AIM or...

Thanks, Mike. Perhaps I will sit tight and wait to see where other people are flying out of. Then, make reservations based off any rides I can hitch.
