Re: Donations?
Just sent, I got way more value from this board and it's contributors than anything else I did when I started working on the car.
I used your link.
Thanks!

Re: Brake thought for the month.
Almost forgot about this. You should read and listen to Steve of course. One thing I remember I discovered later - I was using one of those bleeder devices with the check valve. Works pretty good. However, my report of a bit of air left in the front wheel cylinder was actually a problem with this. I...

Re: Brake thought for the month.
I'm assuming you are asking about the rear regarding location, since they can be relocated while the fronts cannot. I'll guess that many locate the rear from the original upper position thinking it is more aerodynamic. I don't think it matters. The top position is the better one to properly bleed th...

"Why does it matter what was said during the broadcast? "
It should matter to the SCCA that the broadcast be professional, not amateur hour. I make the assumption they make many mistakes in other classes as well.

I am unable to find any rule requiring an undertray below the engine or transmission, only rules regulating the undertray if used.

Re: 2017 Runoffs
I suppose it's not easy. I haven't done that of course. It does seem they could have a cheat sheet on each class to at least get the basic specs right. 1200 pound cars? Worn out motors? They were only off about 50% on the weight, and I suspect every motor out there in the top 20 or so was built for ...

Re: 2017 Runoffs
I figured it was a broken drum as well, maybe from earlier contact. The drum was clearly still attached to the wheel.
Would that be the only time the announcers got something correct?

Re: Disc brakes
Brian, yes I agree, the hub is the issue. As near as I can tell, the one piece hubs that keep the track standard are both heavy and have possible strength issues. Every hub that is two piece and built to higher strength seems to have a track increase.

Steve, been out all day so just seeing your comments. I thought the way it was written was pretty interesting. And timely. I guess I'll hold off on purchasing new drums and high priced shoes until I see what this becomes.
