Re: Fuel bladder/cell
Have a careful read of the regulations. SCCA GCR states that a fuel cell must be ‘FIA FT3 certified’, this basically means your options are ATL or Fuel Safe. However CASC regulations state the fuel cell must be manufactured to FIA FT3 regulations or better. Crucially, they do not mention ‘certified...

Re: Fuel bladder/cell
We carry the ATL FC-152, but it is 14" wide. You will probably have to go custom. We can get them but it will be in the $700+ range I suspect. Yep! It looks like a custom job,my floor is actually 14" (Mysterian M2)and I looked at the ATL FC-152,but it might be a bit tight kinda thing,pity...

Re: Do you swap your brake shoes?
What is called the leading shoe is the top one on both sides of the VW. I have often heard people refer to the leading shoe as the front shoe when the shoes are oriented vertically, sometimes incorrectly. The leading shoe will always tighten itself due to the forces pushing the shoe into the drum w...

Has anyone ever experienced an oil leak from the distributor shaft due to the rubber seal?I have an oil leak and I CANNOT find where it is coming from,it seems to be the distributor area,I only get the leak when putting the engine under load around a track, running it in the garage even at high revs ...

Re: ZDDP Additive
Check the recent thread regarding cam failure in the tech tips section :) I think the overall consensus is that it's a good thing - apparently varying from "you absolutely must have zinc" to "it would definitely be a good idea". Redline or other "off road" oil is so in...

Re: Mosport F1200 May 7-8
The tires bite me in the end. I should have settled for second, but that is not really the idea. I was too hot into nine in the vain hope I might catch Phil Wang, slide wide and was so slow coming out of 10 that the others passed me. But that’s the way it goes. I was a very enjoyable race, neverthe...

Greg, The fastest time posted all last year, the first year on the Falken tires, was a 1.44.9. This year on the first weekend out, four drivers beat that time, whilst the gap back to the rest of the field was 4+ second a lap! Any thoughts where the extra speed came from and the discrepancy to the r...

That's great. I spend most Waterford Hills race weekends with our parts trailer in their paddock, and with a good view of the track I like nothing better than some good open wheel races to keep me entertained. Waterford is a really good track to race F/Vee at, so if you haven't been there in a whil...
