Re: AVGAS question

There was a long post about a year ago about the differances between gases. Some of the features of avgas are the lack of a lot of additives, some of which attack fuel cells and foam. Another advantage is that it is formulated to sit long periods of time without going bad, a good thing for airplanes...

Re: Custom Seat Question

A few thoughts from my attempts. Great Foam does not cure if confined in a bag with no air. Spent one hour seating in a soggy bag. Two part foam works well if applied as instructions call for. Used Pennon last time and found that you must have vacuum off to move beads around. My kit may have been ol...

Re: vintage vee driving instruction

I have had a lot of help from those at the track. What I am looking for is more like a school or tudor who would be able to give close instruction on how to better drive a vee.

vintage vee driving instruction

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might get some one on one driving instruction on track without paying a great fee? I am in the southeast.

Parts to VIR

Is anyone going to VIR this weekend that could pick up vee body panels in Montgomery, NY ( just out side of NYC and close to I=84 or the thruway)? If not does anyone know of a cheap way to ship them.
Thanks

BEAD SEAT HELP

I started today to put a bead seat in my car. Can anyone tell me how to get the beads to stay in position on the back of the seat which is close to verticle while test fitting. I didn't get in the car but am trying to see how much extra beads I might have.
Thanks

WHEEL BALANCER

I got tired of trying to find someone local who could balance my wheels as nobody had the vw adaptor. For the cost of a 6 pack I took two bad rear drums to my machinest friend and he drilled a 2 1/2" hole in the center of them and then cut off the drum part. Fits the rim exactly and is cheaper ...

Re: Ceramic coating pistons

If 1959 is the benchmark I don't think that Mobil 1 or other synthetic oils were aviable. Are they legal to run vintage?
