Re: Numbers on Chassis??
If you post a few pictures, I'm sure someone can help identify the car. In order to race the car in either Vintage racing or the SCCA you'll need a log book for the car. Based on your post, I'm assuming the car did not come with a log book. Since the previous owner was not able to get it passed as v...

Re: A Mono Shock rotary damper system...
I'm not sure who you're talking to You are polluting the thread with mindless garbage. This is a plain vanilla three spring rear suspension system. Nothing to do with a mono shock. It does not even incorporate the common Sachs rotary shock. Try and find something that is remotely useful to FVs. I st...

Robert Guhde, George Podgorski as well as Butch and Barbara Deer were there answering all our questions.
I was only using my iPhone, he was running in the 58 - 59's a little slower then the club fords, faster then the Vee's.

Re: Transmission
Sometimes when installing the engine... a little wiggle to get the engine to mate with the transaxle will move the bearing to one side and with a little pressure in the throw out lever, and the clips just pop off. Typically you'll hear a "ping" but sometimes nothing, if it just comes off o...

Re: Zink Solo Vee questions
Thanks for the info as usual!!!
Do most Solo Vees use bolt on valve covers? I've read, that those annoying orange cones have a habit of knocking the covers off or lose when the standard VW bails are used.

Zink Solo Vee questions
I picked up a Zink FV a few months ago and have been thinking about what to do with it. Not too much vintage racing in the north east so I'm thinking of converting it to a solo vee. Lynn answered a few of my question and pointed me in the right direction, thanks a few more... Fuel cell, can we use s...

Re: Formula One US Grand Prix?
Why build a facility???? STREET COURSE! The greatest Grand Prix race in the world is Monaco (my opinion of course  ) its an amazing street course. I’ve only been to the race once, it was incredible. The U.S. already has street courses that would already make great locations for a U.S grand Prix...
