Re: Tire Survey

Steve not to be argumentative but truthful. Try this math for 2012 120 sets of tires X $0 = $0

Stupid question here. Did you take the clips out of the P.P.? Maybe with no free play you are forcing fluid past the seals in the slave. No movement possible.

Re: Tire Changer

That plate will probably work for balancing, but will not be strong enough for tire changing. Check the balance on the plate alone, adjust as necessary.

Re: Fuel bladder/cell

I have had 3 Van Diemen FC cells repaired at Hartwick, all were around $450. They wrapped the bottom and 2-3 inches up the sides as they were all seeping fuel. All were ATL 2001- 2005 cells.

Send your cell to hartwig for repair. They are reasonable and can repair all most any cell. They are in Canada

That is a 12volt starter. You will need to install the proper starter drive to use it on a VEE. LRE sells them.

You can loose about 7lbs. by putting in a super light weight starter. Better than giving up the beer for a month.

I would guess you replaced the cam or lifters at your last rebuild. They were mis-matched . Wore the lobes of the cam.

Re: Rear axle bearing seals

Now that is a place where you can add a small dab of grease. I used Red Line. Keep the axle pushed in, as the fulcrum plate will slip behind the axle and out of place causing your problem.

Check with a local Fire Protection company, that services fire extinguishers. I found a guy that stopped by 15 minutes after we called, picked up the bottle re-charged (top off ) the nitrogen and brought the gauge back into the green. $10. Most bottles can be refilled. I had 2 bottles filled at Tran...

Re: Needle Bearing Front Beam Spacers

I have used the bearings for years. I only use one washer, the other side rides on the spacer. You can't run the cheap aluminum spacer in this application. FYI the washers are available in at least 3 different thickness. I also run the bearings on all my link pins. Dave

The light can be kind of distracting I just use a gauge, and if it gets to hot you fix it by putting a piece of race tape over it.
