I will be back to Summit next year. That is one of the best group of racers, Vee or other class. that I have ever seen. I can't miss that! Even though I am the slowest vee out there, I'm still having fun!
Oh and Steve thanks for the r45s that I want to grove. Tell Eric I said Hi.

Re: tire grooving
thinking I might just buy a groover and try it my self. sound silly but I want to have a set of inters. just incase. have lots of slicks, a good set of rains, need to have middle ground tires. could use the street tires from my VW thing, for the vintage look. 14" wheels though, or I could use t...

tire grooving
I am trying to find someone, hopefully in SW FL that can groove some slicks into inter. for me. I have 2 sets of R45 hoosiers that I want to groove. I would do it myself, but I am slightly disabiled, no use of left arm. so I think trying to do it would be very hard. Thanks for any help or info. THOR

Steve, I think you forgot one very important thing.
HAVE FUN!
That is the only reason we do this. I don't think any one is getting a pay check. so just enjoy. I know when I get out of my car I have a big smile on my face, why I do it.

is the throw-out arm"fork" bent? putting strange pressure on the bearing? just a quick thought on it, that could cause a problem

the one I have is a billit allum. peice that goes on the nose cone. made by a guy named Ken Taggert. it has a bar that slides to block reverse. IN hillclimbs you need second alot. I'll try to get Taggerts number posted

car counts? look at what Bob Tupper did @ summit point! fv counts were low and summit said unless you have more cars we will put fv in groups that you don't want to be in. Bob made it happen! I don't want to leave out any one that helped him, but as far as I know it was he who did the grunt work. Su...

Re: Trailer Question?
I have a 6x14 side to side is a little tight, but length is fine, could go 12' long if you don't plan on carrying much in the trailer but the car. I also have a 8x18 that I might be able to get 2 vees into.
hope this helps. I would say 6x12 would be the smallest.

Re: Fitting in a car
so what you are saying Hughie, is we need to bring the scales to the hillclimbs to make sure you make weight, or feed you a few extrea gunniess to add weight, and slow the brain. Like I said the Womer is a car for bigger guys, and they do well when set up right. One won the big race at the BD party....

I saw 6500 at roebling road drafting a SRF running a short box. you will go as fast as your car will go there. it is a good time
I was pulling 6300 no draft, and big thanks to Dave Carr at Autowerks for the motor. Roebling is a fast track.
