Re: Pre-Novice Questions - Multiple Categories
Ray makes a lot of good points. He was my instructor when I went to the SCCA school at Summit Point. I rented a car from Ski and Jeremy was my "crew chief". Between him and Ray you would have a hard time finding a better team to help you. The drivers school is very intense and you will not...

Re: braided brake lines
If you are using all braided lines (no hard lines) I would suggest using #3. You will have a firmer pedal.

Re: anybody work for Yellow Freight
I used to own a trucking company and your best bet is to suddenly become a very good customer of Yellows. The way to do this is to find someone that works for a company that spends a lot of money with Yellow and get them to contact their sales rep. at Yellow. Bottom line is money talks and this will...

Re: braided brake lines
I have used braided SS lines only for many years on various race cars including stock cars, sprint cars and midgets without any issues. I also know of several Busch Cars (Nationwide Series) which ran these also.
As I close in on finishing my V I plan on doing the same.

Re: Needle Bearing Front Beam Spacers
Here is a site for metric thrust bearings and spacers. Maybe overkill on the links pins....but certainly couldn't hurt.
http://www.qbcbearings.com/Buy/ThrustBearings.htm
I have used these for years on kingpins on sprint cars and tractors. Maybe using one on the top end of the king pin is a thought.

Were is the best place to mount my transponder? Do they need a "clear" view or can they see through fiberglass?

Re: Front steering tie rod replacement
Speedway motors (speedwaymotors.com) has them in steel and alum. They are tapped left and right. They are also swedged (stronger than non-swedeged). Very reasonable....about $10-$15 each depending on size and mat'l. Sprint Car sites such as BR Motorsports and Arizona Race Parts are also good sources.

My fuel cell has -6 fittings and that is what I am refering to. Others have told me to simply step down to a -4. I just wasn't sure -4 was big enough.
