Re: WTB - Exhaust for D-13
I have a spare over the top system from my old car that I would be willing to sell. It is not fancy, but it is fairly decent. It will allow use of the stock oil cooler. Contact me by PM if interested.

Re: Refilling shock
Thanks for the input Greg and Brian. These shocks do have remote bladders. Can they be pressurized with air? I have a nitrogen tank, but if they can utilize air it would save hauling around the nitrogen bottle.

Refilling shock
I had to disassemble one of my Fox nitrogen pressurized shocks because of a bent shaft. I lost a little oil, but saved the majority of the fluid. How precise does the amount of oil in the shock have to be? Also I am unsure about re-filling the body. Is there any proportion of distribution of the flu...

Re: Problem with Carbotech shoes install
Check to make sure you have the correct style adjuster. I believe the Carbotechs require the beveled style because of the shoe configuration.

Re: Spec Manifold Deposit Requirement
Just as a novel concept, why not press the SCCA, for the benefit of the class and possibly increased memberships, entry fees etc., to forego their markup on the manifolds. I don't know much about tooling up and casting a piece similar to the stock manifold, but offering one at $400-$500 seems a bit ...

Rim Widths
What are the various advantages between the 4" vs. 4.5 " rim? I would assume the 4" weighs less, but does the tire diameter or width change subtley with the different rim sizes? Thanks for any input.

I purchased this carb circa 1998 from Autowerks and since then have purchased a newer one. Might have to be re-jetted for your engine, but ran fine on mine. $100.00

Winter storage
My car will have a fairly long layover for winter and I am looking for any tips fellow Vee racers might have for preserving the various mechanical components until Spring. I just put on some carbo-tech shoes and skimmed the drums and am a bit concerned about how rust build-up might affect the lining...

Re: Wanted: Shock Fairing Kit
Steve, Yes, the adaptor kit. I was referring to the re-positioning of the shock to "fair it" in behind the shock tower. I got a response from an Interchange user and I am planning on getting a set from him. Thanks for your interest and your concern for my semantics .

Re: Spec Tire Complication
Concerning this subject, in the 9/23 issue of NSSN there is a quote from the sanctioning body (World Racing Group) that had required the spec tire stating that they wanted " to create PARITY and CLOSE COMPETITION, and have economical and efficient operations" (emphasis is mine). This is th...

Monster Manifolds?
Can anyone out there enlighten me as to what a "monster manifold" is? Are people bending the rules and enlarging the stock manifold in areas other than where the SCCA takes it's measurements? And how much more is this "enhancement" going to cost us all if we don't want to be tota...

Re: brakes!
Because the bleed screw on the front wheel cylinders is BELOW the upper cup it is possible that an air pocket is trapped above the bleeder. Take the shoes off, remove the upper dust cover and take out the metal puck. Take something that won't damage the wheel cylinder wall or the rubber hydralic sea...

Re: Why is the Sky Blue?
It's good to see the semi-dormant Vee Interchange come to life the closer we get to the start of the racing season. From this thread I am reminded yet again of how complex a supposedly simple solution to a problem can be when it involves F- Vee racing. From my point of view, anything that can contro...

Aim Mychron3 Dash Data Logger
I'm considering purchasing an Aim Mychron3 dash and would appreciate hearing from Vee drivers who have used this unit. Is it reliable? How easy to understand and useful is the track mapping feature? Any other insights or input would be appreciated as these things are not cheap.
