Re: Fitting in a car
I don't think anyone mentioned the Protoform. Protoform, Vector, BRD, and of course Womer are the immediate cars that come to mind. I assume that a Vortech is beyond the price range. As a larger driver who struggled to find suitable cars through 25 years of FV racing (and finally gave up), I have le...

Re: Brthday Party Test Day
I doubt very much that I will make it for 8.00 on Firiday but will try to make it sometime during the day.
What will be the procedure for car's arriving through the day and joining the testing?
Thanks!

Re: LimeRock no longer a momentum track
I personally have no issue with people who are wealthy. It is obvious however that the new Lime Rock will be catering to a specific crowd than has only been part of the 50+ year history of the track. My parents were there in the 50s. I was there last year. We will not be "members". I am no...

Re: LimeRock no longer a momentum track
This has been ongoing for quite some time. Check out http://www.apexspeed.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25906 It is all about lawyers .... and stock brokers ..... and wealthy East coast motorheads who want to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to parade around "Skippy's Auto Country Club"...

Re: Fuel testing rules
Nobody has bothered to explain why unleaded fuel is not allowed. I am not an expert but it was explained to me as such. Unleaded fuel uses oxygenates to achieve performance standards expected of our gasoline. Oxygenates can be used safely to certain levels but it is basicly a case of more oxygenates...

Re: Fuel testing rules
There seems to be a lot of misinformation about the fuel situation. Unfortunately, the regional driver is now being forced to buy $7/gallon fuel instead of cheaper common fuel. This is in an effort to keep the National driver from having to buy $50/gallon fuel to be competitive. That National driver...

Re: Birthday Party Test Day
My comments certainly were not ment as a complaint .... just something that is probably important to many of us .... but down the long priority list for the volunteer organizers. It is most likely a track matter, but hopefully someone can determine the timeline and pass it along to us. It does not r...

Nothing is ever free .... certainly test days ..... but atleast there is no entry fee. Thankyou Hoosier  Perhaps a trivial matter, but I am trying to book time off and make travel plans. It would be nice to know if track entry will not start until Friday morning or if there will be entry ...

Re: Latest Fastrac
Then he should raise his ride height, stiffen up, or tune accordingly. This Protoform has the beam too low for the spring rate and ride height that the owner/driver is trying to run. Changing the rule just penalizes those that have "figured it out" based on the existing rule. BTW, this is ...

Re: Latest Fastrac
A change like this just is making the challenge of tuning a FV easier. I can absolutely guarantee that this proposal came from someone who mounted their beam too low on the chassis and now has interference in heavy braking situations. We changed this rule in Canada for a while because the Warrior ch...
