Re: Glen National

Roger Siebenaler won narrowly beating Ed Womer, both ay 2.16.4.
Sounds like they had a few second gap to a pack of Curtis, Weisheit, Vandecar, Kittell, Grimes, and Rader.

Re: Glen National

There are still good fields in the Northeast with competition for Runoff qualifying spots. The fields are down a bit. Kearney and Carmody are on sabbaticals and a few more passed on this event as they are saving resources for races where points are not so hard to come by. IMO, having a May to early ...

Re: Mysterian/Problemchild Race Package

The car has been reprepped and is in the trailer waiting for it's next owner. Can be delivered to Blackhawk for the FST event this weekend or to the CAT National/40th FF Party. Would consider trade-ins of FV, FF, CF, F5, FC, street cars, trailers, or ????? for up to $10K value. For more pics and inf...

Re: June Sprints Tidbits

From a driving experience, RA is much better without a drafting partner. You can attack the very challenging corners and have fun. IMO, it sure beats "riding" in a pack like stock cars at Talledaga. Unfortunately, being by yourself at RA usually means you are having a bad day ....... or a ...

Formcar in Rochester, NY ?

I am trying to trace the history of my latest acquisition. Perhaps we have some real old-timers out there from the Northeast. A pale yellow Formcar Mk I (?) was traded/sold to John Magee's Valley Works shop in Geneseo, NY sometime in the mid-70s. I know the owner since that time but he only knows it...

Re: need advice on reverse lockouts

I have been using a reverse lock-out since I started almost 30 years ago. I move it from car to car .... it even worked in my FF.

Mysterian/Problemchild Race Package

Serious Racers Only I am preparing to go back to school in the fall. Everything is for sale. It is not a fire sale! I will not have the time or resources to continue to race this car at a high level for a few years. I need someone to take over and continue this car's success. The qualified buyer wou...

Re: Freeing a seized engine

I don't know if this applies ..... but wrecking yard engines have this problem. I take off the heads and bash the cylinders with a sledge hammer until they break apart. I would probably try liquid wrench in the spark plug holes to start with. :|

Mysterians at Grattan

The official Bonow Series promo rarely covers people that don't drive cars of certain manufacture, but I will report that there were three Mysterian FST cars present at Grattan, all with Autowerks power. It was an uphill battle, as we had raced a total of 3 previous events between the 3 cars. My car...

Bill, I seemed to have misplaced my coil spring rate formula .... but there are all kinds of stuff online. Re: Formula High School, Getting Kids Involved!

I am not sure of the details but it is a fabricated axle that has an upright on each end which takes two VW ball joints and a VW spindle. Those are the spindles, hub, brakes, and wheel as used on our Formula FST cars. I believe most of the cars are using Briggs & Stratten engines although one of...
