08 runoffs

I just checked the SCCA website for how many cars are entered and we have 40. So I checked almost all other classes and the highest one was only 30, so it looks like we might have the largest class by a considerable margin if those #'s are correct.

Re: Rear shock and spring help.

Ed, Mad Dog is right about this being a boring subject but the one thing you need to find out for anyone to be able to help you is what is called motion ratio. Simply it is for a set amount of wheel movement how much does the shock move. Typically it is done with 1" of wheel movement and how mu...

Re: Summit Point National

From my view point about 100 feet back Roger did get alongside Jim going into 10 and Jeremy definatly had a good run on them. The tech people were checking intake OD's with a 6" dial caliper and with everything around the intakes had a problem getting a measurement. It is my understanding that ...

Re: Summit Point National

Congrats to Jeremy for the win! The reason Jim Oseth dropped back was I had a run on him going into 9 and thought I would be far enough along side him he would see me but didn't and turned into me and we hit with no damage to me and just marks on Jim's bodywork from my tire. I haven't looked at the ...

Re: Trailer e-track install - best location for a FV?

I have E-track located on the floor under the tires on both side and use 2" wide ratchet straps over all 4 wheels. With the ratchet straps you crank them down enough to make sure they stay on the tires. I have had one come off ocasionally but all 4 stay on most of the time.

Dean,

I don't have a site anymore but send me an e-mail and I can send you pictures. I think Team2stool's site has some pictures but not as much as you want.

Re: FV Party Info

Sorry this is late but since I went to work on Monday after driving 10 hours to get home and 1 hour in bed and then having to get ready to come here to VIR which seemed to go in slow motion because of being a little worn out. I also want to graciously thank Fred Clark and everyone who put together t...

Oak Tree National VIR

Well the race yesterday was great with many lead changes. The Fords lapped us twice so we only got 12 laps which was good since Stevan and I were on older tires and it was obviously slowing us in a couple of the corners but I managed to just pass Stevan at the that line to get the win. They weren't ...

Re: FV Party Info

Fred,

I did register on line but I haven't paid. Do we need to send a check or can we pay at the track?

Re: Revamped National Racing Program and Runoff???

Why do those of you who said it should be harder to qualify say this? With the cost to run a national at $2K per race to compete up front, and you have to run at least 4 races to qualify that is $8K in cost just to run the minumum races. With the daily increase of gas I hate to think what it will co...

Re: On board camera suggestions

I think mine is a DCR 22 and I got it 3-4 years ago so I doubt it is still for sale but you need one with the setup that allows remote start so you can mount it anywhere and use the lipstick camera on the roll bar or anywhere you want it.

Re: On board camera suggestions

I have a Sony digital camera with a remote lense (on roll bar) and remote mic (in box that hols camera) as well as a switch that allows me to turn on and off the camera since it is located above my legs. I have very good pictures from this system even though I had some intial problems with some of t...

Re: PROMO DVD Project Status Report

Kevin,

I haven't forgot about you, I just realized I didn't do a video for you yet. Hopefully I get it done shortly I just need to spend some time to get spots from different tapes of different tracks with some action on it and put it all on one tape.
