Talking to a guy with 30 yrs VW experience who has a shop near me and he said DONT use synthetic oil,a few years ago VW/Porche sent out a memo re: do not use synthetic oil on older engines Hmmmm?

Its not dripping on exhaust I checked that and pushrod tubes are not leaking either,after switching engine off,I have a feeling #1 & 2 side is hotter than #3&4 side,or I am just paranoid about it anyway thanx Dietmar.

Light grey smoke
I seem to have light grey smoke coming from #1 cylinder when engine has warmed up,as if you had spilled a bit of oil/WD 40 on the fins,but it does not go away.I stopped the engine and removed the spark plug to see if smoke came out,none did,the spark plug was also dry(no oil).Its not a lot of smoke,...

Im not suggesting anything:>)..just pointing out what nice looking vees they have after looking at the photos on the net..Im an F1200 driver by the way in Canada..FST means nothing to me :mrgreen: I post in here sometimes because its a good site,unlike the F1200 site we have which is as dead as Mosp...

Alot of them use old Formula Ford chassis etc...nicer wheels,disc brakes and 1300 engines I think with disc brakes..some UK vees are REALLY nice looking cars.

Happy new year from a Canadian F1200 driver to all you FV drivers and heres to a safe 2011 racing season I wish our F1200 site was as active as yours,its as dead as a racetrack in winter
