Re: Promotion Idea
There are also school-related events, such as Formula SAE. I'm on the UT SAE team and it's made up of college kids who are interested in working on and driving cars (most do track days and are involved in other motorsports). Those events would be filled with people who would be easily persuaded into...

Re: Promotion Idea
As soon as I get my car back together I'm taking it to whatever car shows I can. Austin has so many and most of them are free to enter. I'd also like to take it by kart tracks (especially my old home track) and show it off. I think we could also advertise for local vee rental services so people know...

Re: Does FV NEED TO BE SAVED ?
What can we do to bring back the competition? http://www.formulavee.org/interchange/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=3238 The SCCA isn't really advertising for us. I think we need to take matters into our own hands and recruit new drivers... especially younger karters. They have experience, so they (usuall...

Re: FV Future
I know exactly what we need to reach a younger audience. TV coverage. Perhaps we can get people to run some support races for at pro events, get ESPN2 or, better yet, Fuel/VS to air coverage at a reasonable timeslot (not like what speed did to the runoffs coverage this past year) and do whatever we...

Promotion Idea
In case you couldn't guess by my user name, I use to be in a kart club before moving to FV. The club I was in was running low on memebers for a while, so we started promoting the club more actively. We'd have gatherings where everyone would bring their kart out to an old walmart parking lot (or the ...

Re: FV Future
What about making the FST motor/trans, tire & brake package optional for FV, with a weight penalty of some amount (greater than the FST weight minimums) to partially "equalize" the increased power? If the weight were removable, then we would actually have the ability to run either FST...

Re: Does FV NEED TO BE SAVED ?
I'm a kid who bought an old rental vee ($5000) and played around in regional races for a while until I honed in my driving skills. Now I feel like I've outgrown the car and am upgrading EVERYTHING. However, I definitely do NOT feel limited by the rules. If anything, I'm thankful for the limitations ...

What thickness of metal did you use and what is the total weight of one of your lifts?
I already have a winch, would you sell a lift w/out a winch?

Re: WTB: Fuel Cell
You could try Bill Griffith at Bigger Hammer Racing (Texas) at (972) 291-5460
Last I heard, he had at least two (Caracal C and D).

I'm using the Logitech Momo forcefeedback wheel.
It started working again on its own... I don't really know why it doesn't work sometimes, but the technical support at logitech isn't much help.

Re: WTB enclosed trailer
I have a 7 x 16 dual axle enclosed Haulmark Cadet trailer with a ramp door that I am willing to part with. New in 2001. I put a bench in the front. Pit pal fuel jug holder holds 2 five gallon jugs. Shelf to set helmet and hang drivers suit. Tire racks hold two sets flat to wall. Holiday canopy atta...

Re: rFactor Simulation
I was going to try to create a race last weekend, but I've been having all kinds of trouble with my steering wheel. I'd like to set up some games on the "Elkhartlike" track though.

rFactor Simulation
I got the rfactor racing simulator a little while ago and downloaded the fv car. It's pretty realistic and fun, but I think it would be a lot more fun racing other ACTUAL fv drivers. I haven't tried racing online, but how hard could it be? I propose setting up some race times on different tracks to ...
