I bought a $49,99 torch kit from Lowes that uses MAPP and Oxygen works great for small stuff. Worked perfect to heat the clutch cable arm and easily bend it for me as well as braze small items. If you don't regularly need a full size torch and don't want to sepend much money it's worth it.

Re: Fuel Cell size in a Lynx?
Also the 4" across the top will be a problem pushing you too far forward. A Lynx/Caracal type cell goes up as a straight wedge, no flat portion across the top. I recently spent time looking into different cells and nothing fits "right" except the custom cell made specifically for it. ...

I use a company called Total Choice, located at http://totalchoicehosting.com/ for a few small sites I have and always rave about them. You can find them at http://totalchoicehosting.com/ They are very cheap, my main site http://frassettirealtors.com/ costs just $4 monthly. They VERY RARELY, have a ...

AND... My Florida property taxes in 2010 are only 25% of what I paid in New York in 1995. Can't understand anyone thinking taxes here are high!Obscene taxes? No income tax and 6% sales tax doesn't sound obscene to me....come to WA!

Re: Battery charging question
I've got a cheap lead acid Walmart motorcycle battery in my vee. Keep it on a float charger all the time to keep the voltage up and use a Harbor Freight solar charger at the track. The solar charger stays plugged in any time I'm not on track and have never had a low battery problem. I replaced the l...

Re: Starting a new thread about the DVD and YOUtube
This thread seems to have died an early death. Hopefully this will not be the way of Formula Vee. Roger very generously offered to take on this project that will benefit all vee drivers but it doesn’t seem like he is getting any support. I contacted him and mailed him 2 dvd’s of some racing footage....

Roger,
Since you're in Orlando, you should come to Sebring this weekend for the Turkey Trot. There are 7 vees registered so you can see several different set ups.

Re: Draining Fuel Tank
If it's going to be more than a month before my next race I drain it. I just take the cell out of car, put a large funnel into a fuel can and turn cell upside down into funnel, drains in about a minute, shake cell to get "every drop". Entire process is about 15 minutes.

Yeah, just like in Real Estate. It's the best buyers market anyone has ever seen. Now if only I could get people to start buying some houses maybe I could take advantage of the FV buyers market, or at least get in a race or 2 this year Hope you guys have better luck selling race cars than I have sel...

If those are the same ones that EMRA uses contact Harry Schneider. He's not on here often if at all but if anyone will have, or know where to get them its him.

Re: Trans Am Weekend at BlueGrass Motorsports Park
Have no idea about the insurance, better get that info straight from someone at FRCCA. I raced with them once or twice many years ago at Bridgehampton and found them to be very professional and punctual. They gave alot for the money. If they are still running like that I'm sure it will be a great ev...

There's only 1 thing they will understand. NOBODY GO TO THE $700 NATIONAL. Not only in FV but in all classes, if the drivers unite and just say no I'm sure the regions will get the message. If people complain and go anyway it will be $750 next year and who knows how much after that. Unless you reall...

Lee,
I use this one:

when I'm by myself. Works great, quick, easy and never had a soft pedal.
Good Luck,

Re: SEDiv (SARRC) FV Drivers
Your ideas sound good to me. Not so sure about the pump gas though since I have heard it is more corrosive to a fuel cell. Might not be worth saving a few bucks on fuel and having to replace a $500 or more cell more frequently. That will have to be looked into. I drain cell between races so maybe it...
